Wow, this place is amazing. It's a hidden gem. We were fortunate to come on a weeknight where we had personal attention from Stan who helped us navigate the extensive menu.
Here's our reviews of the dishes:
Josh - fun dish. I've never had anything like it. Definitely would get it again
Grilled Oyster - I'm not a oyster lover, but the sauce was tasty. Best oyster I've had in a while. My husband loved it.
Danielle - Loved it. Definitely will reorder again. The Kobe beef was so tender.
Jayda - a bit too spicy for me.
i Belushi - delicious. Wow, we had tuna tartar at Morimoto and this topped it. The salmon skin chips complimented it so well.
Stan & ..., the dish with the chocolate wasabi - we ended our entree selection with this dish, and it was amazing. Who thought chocolate and wasabi would taste good, but we ended on a high note.
We had two iFloats - green tea and coconut. I preferred the green tea, but my husband liked both.
By far the best food we've had in a while. The flavors were so unique and well complimented. We're telling our friends, and we'll be back.

Beautiful looking food, that tastes even better! Small bisto style environment, with simple and clean decor.Best fish you can find in the east bay, and father. Make sure and check out the specials that are always changing, and sure to please the most critical pallets....Take your time eating, to enjoy the complex and well put together flavors. A must visit for any sushi fan !Make reservations if going during prime time, it gets packed.

I just have to say that their sushi rolls are the best rolls I've had in awhile. They had an amazing blend of flavors & aromas that filled the restaurant and lured my friend and me into their small inviting place.
I don't know how to properly articulate their food, but their prices are definitely reasonable with what you're being served. I still have a craving for their brand new sushi roll, Mike & Lisa, from last night. I can't wait to go back for more!

As my dinner companions and I looked over the big menu full of excessively fancy rolls with cute names and high prices we very nearly got up and walked out. We are fans of Japanese-style sushi, where a minimum number of ingredients get in one's way of enjoying the fish. But we cut through the clutter to order a variety of sashimi, nigiri, and maki rolls. And I'm glad we did. One standout on the menu was the saba (mackerel) nigiri. It was very fresh and rich, like salted butter. The best dish we got was the monk fish liver, something you don't see everywhere and very well done here.

My wife and I came to this restaurant sort of on a whim. She remembered going to a restaurant many years back and wanted to try again, so her friend thought it was this place. In the end, it wasn't that restaurant, but we were glad we tried it out. It's a small little local place and a small shopping center. We called about an hour ahead of time to see if they took reservations, which they did.
The service was very good and they definitely knew how to treat us well. The owner and waitress greeted us and asked if we had been to the restaurant before. Since we had not, they gave us some recommendations and suggestions. We were in luck, they had fresh live uni. Honestly I'm normally not a big fan of uni, I don't really like the fishiness of the taste and also the texture. But I'll have to admit, this was really fresh and yummy, without that fishiness taste. I liked the presentation too, they place your uni on top of the sea urchin shell. For 6 to 7 pieces of fresh live uni, it was around $25. I think that's fairly reasonable. We ordered a couple other rolls ("01+01" was good). We had some oysters and a few other items. We ordered "Skips" which is fresh salmon with some other flavors. Our waitress suggested trying this with some sake. My wife doesn't really drink alcohol, so we passed on the sake. When this order came out, she gave me a small cup of sake to taste the order for the full experience. To end the meal, they also gave us some green tea ice cream, which in my bowl she added some warm sake. I've never had warm sake with ice cream before, it was different but very good.
Maybe it's the fusion of this restaurant, but we enjoyed the freshness of the food plus some of the different and unique tastes that we had never had at other japanese restaurants. Overall I was very happy with everything at this restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive with us and made sure we were pleased with everything. Our food came out appropriately spaced out without ever waiting too long in between items and without having all of our food dumped on us at once. It was our first time to this restaurant, but it definitely won't be our last. I would definitely recommend this place.

Don't come here expecting traditional Japanese fare and avoid the miso soup...but do come to isushi for unique combinations and fresh concepts in sushi rolls and amazing appetizers. Have an open mind and know that what you get here is anything but traditional. Try the specialty rolls, for starters the 2006 (Randy Fish/Christina) roll ;) Well I wont be too bias though I love this roll, my favorite has to be the 2004 roll with the seared ahi tuna on top....YUMMMMM It's fab! There are so many recommendations I can make...just ask. Also the owner is such a delight and every time I go in there he always takes such good care of us regulars with a few rounds of sake and sometimes he even drinks with us...now that's a good host!

I've taken others and most claim it's the best sushi in the East Bay, if not the entire Bay Area. In addition to being a suburb host, Stan (the owner) is very creative with the dishes, they are interesting and tasty creations. Try the Dynamite Roll if you love spice, and Josh's Special if you want something different. They also have a great selection of wine and sake and the service has always been great. It gets pretty crowded later in the evening, but rumor has it he's looking to expand.

Growing up in a small town Like CV you dont have alot of choices on funky and fabulous ethnic food. So when I sushi rolled into towna few years back it was all the buzz and really it still is. The quality of food and the attention to detail and customer satifaction are awesome. the owner take pride in his spot and loves what he does. This is our favorite place in the village to stop and grab a bite. Try it you will love it !
This place is expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for. The sashimi melted in my mouth. I tend to avoid the Foo Foo "American" rolls, but tried the 2004 and it was DELICIOUS! I even took my 2 year old niece and Stanley was so kind to us. Taking a 2 year old in a tiny place is usually frowned upon, but to our surprise the customers and staff did not seem bothered at all. I think Stanley has the formula! He remembers all of his customers and when you tell him what you like he knows what to give you!

This is my favorite Sushi Joint!
The rolls are so yummy, and have a very creative flair to them. It's refreshing to go and find new combinations to try. The 007 is one of my favorites, it has jalapenos and a spicy sauce. Yum. There is also another one, I don't know that name of it, but it is soo refreshing (it has macadamia nuts, basil, tuna and a spicy sauce!)
